Apply for Assistance and Begin Your Recovery Journey

A simple form will be sent by the nonprofit to the treatment center, transitional housing coordinator, church, sober house, or other organization that is helping someone that needs this service. Once the application is received, there will be a video interview with the applicant and at least two board members. The process takes up to 2 weeks from receipt of the application to funds being sent to the sober house to which they are transitioning.

When the applicant is approved and we have the house information and tax ID number, we will pay up to $1,000 per month, month by month, for up to 3 months. The applicant must check in on the third week of each month with a representative of the sober house on their progress and commitment to that house and his or her recovery. If the board receives a positive review, we will approve the month two subsidy payment to the house. Repeat this process for month three.

The subsidy can end at any time.

1) If the applicant is asked to leave the house for not following rules or walks off. Those are examples that stop the next payment.

2) When the applicant successfully completes 3 months at the house, the payment also stops.

We exist to help people get on their feet, and after 3 months we end our payments so we can help others.

An applicant can only apply one time.

The non-profit governance to new leadership will be offered to La Hacienda Treatment Center in Hunt, Texas, for them to manage in their transitional living program. They can continue with this as they please.

The Foundation Board meets a minimum of two times per year or as needed if a decision needs to be made. Generally, the agenda will consist of discussion around financial spending, capital expenditures, upcoming community service projects, etc. We operate as a team and must have a majority rule when it comes to expenditure or taking on any large community service projects > $500.00.
